Scoring

Clearing lines is worth disproportionately more the more you clear at once: 100 points for a single line, 300 for two, 500 for three, and 800 for a full four-line Tetris -- each multiplied by your current level. A hard drop also adds 2 points for every row it falls through.

Pieces & Rotation

All 7 classic tetromino shapes are dealt randomly -- there's no 7-bag randomizer here, so in principle the same piece can come up several times in a row. Rotating near a wall or another block nudges the piece one column over automatically if that makes the rotation fit, a simplified version of modern Tetris's wall-kick system rather than the full SRS ruleset.

Speed & Levels

Your level rises every 10 lines cleared, and each level shortens the drop timer (500ms minus 40ms per level, down to a 50ms floor) -- by around level 11, pieces are already falling as fast as the game allows.

Controls

Arrow keys to move and soft-drop, up to rotate, X for an instant hard drop, P to pause -- plus on-screen buttons for touch.

Strategy

Keep the stack flat and leave one column open for the straight 4-long piece, since a saved-up four-line clear is worth far more (level × 800) than four separate single-line clears at the same level.

Common Mistakes

Assuming every rotation near a wall will succeed -- without full SRS kicks, some rotations that would work in other Tetris games simply won't fit here. Waiting too long to decide once the drop timer bottoms out at 50ms is the other common way a stack tops out.

History
